Karate in Banbury

Welcome to Bushido Karate Club which has been established for well over 30 years. Our beginners class is based at The Warriner School Bloxham

(Please see below for the time of our beginners lessons at this venue)

The ancient art of Karate offers a unique opportunity to develop confidence, awareness, discipline, self defence and motor skills, it has also been recognised that regular karate training helps in the development of both a person’s physical and emotional control, which are two of the attributes acquired to help you in all aspects of life.

We offer classes in a safe, productive, educational and fun environment.  For children aged 6 to 12 we offer karate lessons which are designed to be both fun and instructive, where we work on a childs confidence, awareness, self defence and motor skills, in our teenage and adults classes which range from 13 years upwards we perfect our karate technique and understanding of this mystical art.

With the exciting news that the International Olympic Committee deciding to incorporate Karate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the outlook for karate has never been brighter, especially under the guidance of both the World Karate Federation and English Karate Federation.

Although students in our clubs compete against each other in domestic, national and international competitions. Karate training is more of a competition with oneself allowing students to proceed at their own pace. The environment is ideal for those who love physical activity but shy away from the pressures often associated with team sports and competition.

Always remember that Karate is within the reach of everyone, regardless of age or fitness levels.

When a new member joins, we aim to help them become confident, have values, to respect others and to be the best they can be.
