Karate offers a unique opportunity to develop confidence, awareness, discipline, self defence and motor skills, it has also been recognised that regular karate training helps in the development of both a person’s physical and emotional control, which are two of the attributes acquired to help you in all aspects of life.

We offer classes in a safe, productive, educational and fun environment.  For children aged 5 to 12 we offer karate lessons which are designed to be both fun and instructive, where we work on a childs confidence, awareness, self defence and motor skills, in our teenage and adults classes which range from 13 years upwards we perfect our karate technique and understanding of this mystical art.

Always remember that Karate is within the reach of everyone, regardless of age or fitness levels.

Contrary to popular belief you do not need a high level of fitness and flexibility to train, as long as you enjoy a reasonable level of fitness, regular training at your own pace will gradually improve your fitness levels and flexibility. If you have concerns regarding your health and suitability to karate seek the advice of your doctor before commencing training.

With the introduction by the International Olympic Committee of Karate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the outlook for karate has never been brighter, especially under the guidance of both the World Karate Federation and English Karate Federation.

Although students in our clubs compete against each other in domestic, national and international competitions. Karate training is more of a competition with oneself allowing students to proceed at their own pace. The environment is ideal for those who love physical activity but shy away from the pressures often associated with team sports and competition.

karatestarters brand new beginners course is only £20 for four weeks students will develop confidence, and self belief through regular training. No one sits on the bench in karate. Students develop at their own pace and their confidence will build as they progress through the belts.
