Redditch Karate Club

Redditch Karate Club meets every Sunday at Abbey Stadium sports centre birmingham road redditch at 11:30am, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities. The club provides a unique opportunity to build confidence, awareness, discipline, self-defence skills, and coordination. Regular training is known to improve both physical ability and emotional control—qualities that positively impact all areas of life.

Classes are delivered in a safe, structured, and enjoyable setting. For children aged 5 to 12, sessions are designed to be fun and engaging while developing confidence, focus, and essential motor skills. For teenagers and adults (13+), training becomes more refined, focusing on technique, understanding, and personal progression within the art of karate.

Karate is truly for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. You do not need to be highly flexible or exceptionally fit to begin—training at your own pace will naturally improve your strength, fitness, and mobility over time. If you have any health concerns, it is always wise to seek medical advice before starting.

While students may have opportunities to compete at club, national, or international levels, the real journey in karate is personal. It is about self-improvement, not comparison with others. This makes it ideal for those who enjoy physical activity but prefer a supportive, pressure-free environment.

Our Karate Starters beginner course is just £20 for four weeks, giving new students the chance to build confidence and self-belief through consistent training. Everyone participates—no one is left behind—and progress is made step by step.

As Gichin Funakoshi taught, karate is about emptying the mind of negativity and responding with clarity and purpose—developing both character and skill through dedicated practice.

Budokan Karate promotes inclusive classes held at Abbey Stadium, designed to appeal to families and individuals of all ages. Central to the promotion is an appealing introductory offer: the first lesson is completely free, followed by three weeks of training for just £30, providing an affordable and welcoming entry point for beginners.

The sessions take place on Sundays at 11:30 am in the holistic studio, catering to children, “Tiny Tigers,” adults, and those over 50. No special clothing is required, removing a common barrier and encouraging people to simply come along and participate.

Our karate club is a friendly, supportive, and family-oriented atmosphere. and emphasises important benefits such as building confidence, improving fitness, and developing discipline. Overall, we successfully promote a fun, inclusive, and accessible martial arts experience for the local community.
